In response to the Department for Transport’s Road Safety Strategy, as Head of the Road Safety Partnership for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, Police and Crime Commissioner, Darryl Preston has issued the following response:
“As Chair of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough’s Road Safety Partnership, I will be paying close attention to what the new national road safety strategy means locally.
“While a great deal of proactive work goes on in our county to improve road safety, sadly there are still far too many people killed or seriously injured on our roads.
“My Police and Crime Plan is clear about my intention to continue to work with partner agencies to reduce serious injuries and deaths on our roads.”
