Policy and Performance Officer

Working primarily with the Police and Crime Commissioner’s Head of Policy and Performance and the Senior Policy Officer, the Officer’s core responsibilities are to provide proactive and reactive policy and analytical support contributing to the Police and Crime Commissioner’s effectiveness and transparency, and enabling him to fulfil his statutory responsibilities across key policy, performance, risk and compliance areas. The Officer will also play a key role in supporting the management of the statutory complaints process, progressing casework and dealing with correspondence. The ability to provide support to decision making forums will also be required

The Officer will also undertake other duties as required in support of the Police and Crime Commissioner, his deputy and the Chief Executive. In addition, there is a need for flexibility to contribute to other duties as required to add to the general resilience of the office to support other staff effectively.

  • Contribute to policy development.
  • Working closely with Cambridgeshire Constabulary.

In undertaking this role, the post holder will contribute to the Police and Crime Commissioner’s objectives within his Police and Crime Plan.

The role is based at the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner in Cambourne.
