The Office of the Cambridgeshire Police and Crime Commissioner, led by Sir Graham Bright, is looking for a new member of its small and flexible team to provide proactive and professional policy support.If you are a proactive, highly-organised team player with excellent communication skills who is able to multi-task, then the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner would like to hear from you.The Commissioner’s role is to ensure an efficient and effective police service in their area. Commissioners set police and crime objectives, the police budget and issue crime and disorder reduction grants through the Police and Crime Plan. Commissioners also hold the police to account, making them answerable to the public.

This role is wide-ranging, core responsibilities include:

• contributing to the development and implementation of policy in key priority areas;
• supporting effective decision making processes and engagement with external partners;
• being the first point of call for the organisation’s response to correspondence and complaints, supporting the Commissioner’s role in listening to the public.
