Partnerships Policy Officer
Closing Date: April 16th, 2021
A vacancy has arisen for a Partnerships Policy Officer in the Office of the Cambridgeshire Police and Crime Commissioner supporting the delivery of the Police and Crime Commissioner’s Police and Crime Plan and statutory responsibilities.
Existing experience working within the criminal justice system, policing or community safety world would be a huge bonus and help you hit the ground running to what will be a fast-paced and varied role.
One week you could be representing the office at a multi-agency meeting on driving down rural crime; the next translating what the new Code of Practice for Victims of Crime means for local support services and briefing senior decision makers. You will also play a key role in the office managing volunteers to deliver independent scrutiny on the Commissioner’s behalf – which will require attendance at the odd evening meeting.
You will be part of a small but supportive team, currently working completely agile, but who will eventually be back at the Office of Police and Crime Commissioner based in Police Headquarters in Huntingdon for some of the working week. You must be able to travel to the office, and around the county and elsewhere, for meetings to meet business need, once circumstances allow.
The role is full time (37 hours) but flexible working arrangements will be considered to cover the full-time hours.
