Appointment of Independent Chair and One Independent Member
We want Cambridgeshire to feel safe and be safer. Performance is good and crime continues to reduce and detection rates are steadily improving.
The Audit Committee is an important, independent means of enhancing public trust and confidence in the governance of the office of the Police & Crime Commissioner and Cambridgeshire Police. The Committee ensures that appropriate risk controls assurances are in place. It also oversees all audit arrangements.
We require a Chair and one Independent Member. The Chair is responsible for providing leadership to the Joint Audit Committee. The Member will contribute to the development and effective discharge of the Terms of Reference.
We need individuals who have the highest level of integrity and accountability and a commitment to best governance practices. Experience of leading, conducting or reviewing audit activity is essential.
For members – an allowance of £1,300 per year (based on 6 days a year) and expenses will be paid.
For the Chair – an allowance of £2,600 per year (for additional responsibilities) and expenses will be paid.
