Commissioning Support Officer
Closing Date: August 24th, 2020
Are you organised and efficient with a keen eye for detail? Do you have knowledge of public sector commissioning, contract management or procurement processes? If so, then we need you.
A vacancy has arisen for a new post in the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner supporting the management of grants and contracts awarded to public, private and third sector organisations. While your focus will be on organising and supporting contract monitoring meetings with services supporting victims of crime, you will also be involved in a range of other contracts and grants held by the Commissioner.
The role will be varied: you could be helping with a bid for extra funding to support domestic abuse survivors one week and designing new services for victims of modern day slavery the next. However, you do need to be comfortable interpreting large volumes of data and completing complex returns to the Ministry of Justice or Home Office. You also need to be smart, professional and engaging and used to developing positive working relationships with local stakeholders.
You will be part of a small but supportive team – currently working agilely – but eventually back at Police Headquarters in Huntingdon.
The role is full time (37 hours) but flexible for the right candidate.
Please contact Nicky Phillipson, Head of Strategic Partnerships and Commissioning by email (Nicky.firstname.lastname@example.org) to arrange a conversation about the role.
Interviews will be held in the second week of September.
