Administrative Support Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrative Support Officer to work as part of the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) based at Police Headquarters, Huntingdon.
The successful candidate will provide effective and efficient administrative support to staff of the OPCC.
This is an office based post and the successful candidate will be assisting the Police and Crime Commissioner, Chief Executive and OPCC staff in the provision of a full range of administrative support.
The support is a mix of both pro-active tasks and re-active tasks. Therefore, experience of working in a busy office is essential.
Your experience of working with the public and other teams to build relationships will enable you to work collaboratively across the OPCC and respond flexibly to the reactive nature of the work and the priorities. You should have excellent communication both oral and written coupled with great interpersonal skills and understanding of confidentiality relating to all types of information.
You will have the ability to successfully organise and prioritise tasks, work under your own initiative and meet deadlines whilst managing your own workload.
You will have a flexible attitude as tasks will cover a wide range of different themes and therefore you will need to have the ability to remain calm under pressure.
It is essential that you have excellent IT skills in the use of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook and have experience of collating and putting information in a user friendly format.
This is a 12 month contract which will be reviewed after this time.
