Communications Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a communications professional to join the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC), Cambridgeshire.
The main focus of the role is to ensure that our work and policies are informed by the views of the public and the office’s work is effectively communicated to all stakeholders.
You will lead on media relations, proactively communicating the work of the OPCC via the media and other channels to key audiences locally and nationally. You will also be responsible for creating content for the website, newsletter, social media and other channels.
You will support and advise the Police and Crime Commissioner (Sir Graham Bright), the Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner, Chief Executive and other members of the team on communication issues.
We are seeking an energetic self-starter with experience of communications and public engagement. In particular you will need to demonstrate a track record in media relations and have strong writing skills.

Salary grade is SO1 – (£27,246 – £31,620)
