Crime prevention is a key priority for the Police and Crime Commissioner. It has always been part of the role of policing, but it cannot be achieved by policing alone.
Helping people to live a life free of crime is important to residents and the Commissioner. The Commissioner is committed to working with partners who offer support to those who offend, through prevention and early intervention projects. Significant progress has been made on his ‘Crime Prevention’ priority since the launch of their Police and Crime Plan in November 2021.
