Partnership and Communities Officer

The Partnership and Communities Officer supports the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Commissioning to engage with providers of commissioned services and ensure they are effectively delivering against the four main outcomes set within the Police and Crime Plan. A key contact for partner agencies and the Community Safety Partnerships, Alasdair clerks the Countywide Community Safety Strategic Board, aiming to support more effective partnership working.

Alasdair is also the Independent Custody Visiting Scheme manager, supporting volunteers to independently oversee custody to reassure the public as part of the Commissioners statutory obligation to do so. As such he takes a lead in supporting the ‘Citizens in Policing’ agenda for Cambridgeshire on behalf of the OPCC.
