Praise for police in Fenland
September 5th, 2014
Cambridgeshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Sir Graham Bright, was in March this week, meeting members of the public alongside local police.
The Commissioner was joined by Chief Inspector Mike Hills, Fenland Area Commander, and other local officers to chat with the public about policing and community safety in March and the surrounding area. People were able to address any issue that concerned them and local officers were able to provide advice if needed. The Commissioner was also delighted to welcome the Mayor of March, Councillor Kit Owen, who dropped by to offer his support.
Sir Graham said: “I have done a number of these informal meetings in the last few weeks and again am extremely gratified by the positive feedback I get. The people I spoke to were very complimentary about local policing in the town and were delighted to see the officers and I making ourselves available to talk to. Speeding traffic and illegal parking are recurring themes but the overwhelming feedback was positive”
The March street surgery was the latest in a series held at different locations across Cambridgeshire.
