Police Commissioner thanks public for their feedback to his recent survey

POLICE and Crime Commissioner for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, Darryl Preston, is today (2nd August 2021) thanking all those who took part in his recent survey which asked local residents and businesses to have their say on a new Police and Crime Plan for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
The survey which closed on 30th July asked people to provide their views on what matters to them when it comes to local policing in the county.
The views received will help inform the Commissioner’s new Plan which sets policing and crime priorities for the next 3 years in the county.
People responding to the survey were asked to comment on a set of emerging priorities that include criminal justice, community safety, preventing crime and supporting victims and witnesses.
Once published, the Plan will set out how:
- People get the help they need
- The Chief Constable delivers an effective service
- Money is spent to support projects and services
- Decisions are made in an open and honest way, and everyone’s needs are considered
“I would like to thank everyone who took the time to tell me what was important to them when it came to policing and community safety in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough,” Darryl said. “It is important to me that the Police and Crime Plan means something to local people, wherever they live, work or study in the county and I want to make sure the voice of residents and businesses across the county are represented in the final published Plan.”
The Commissioner will now consider the feedback provided by members of the public, stakeholders and partners before publishing his Plan in Autumn 2021.
