Police and Crime Commissioner’s Annual Report 2018-19

To approve the Annual Report for 2018-19

Decision Summary

Under Section 12 of the Police and Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 (the “Act”) a Police and Crime Commissioner (the “Commissioner”) must:

 

  • produce an Annual Report on the exercise of the organisation’s functions in the financial year and the progress in meeting the police and crime objectives in the Police and Crime Plan (the “Plan”);
  • send the report to the Police and Crime Panel (the “Panel”);
  • present the report to the Panel and answer the Panel’s questions;
  • give the Panel a response to any report or recommendation on the Annual Report; and
  • publish any response. The Commissioner presented the draft Annual Report to the Panel on the                  26th June 2019. The Panel reviewed the Annual Report and the Commissioner responded to the Panel’s questions. The Panel agreed to endorse the Annual Report and made some recommendations.   • This Annual Report reflects the Commissioner’s work for the period between                      1st April 2018 to 31st March 2019 and provides an opportunity to review the work carried out over the last year to deliver the priorities as set out in the Plan.
