Police and Crime Commissioner’s Annual Report 2017/18

Decision

To approve the Annual Report for 2017/18

Decision Summary

Under Section 12 of the Police and Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 (the “Act”) a Police and Crime Commissioner (the “Commissioner”) must produce an Annual Report on the exercise of the organisation’s functions in the financial year and the progress in meeting the police and crime objectives in the Police and Crime Plan (the “Plan”).

The Annual Report reflects the Commissioner’s work for the period between 1st April 2017 and the 31st March 2018.

This Annual Report provides an opportunity to review the work carried out over the last year to deliver the priorities set out as set out in the Plan.

In developing this year’s Annual Report, the Commissioner has taken on board the comments of the Panel, including the provision of more performance data as part of the content.

The Commissioner’s Business Co-ordination Board on the 19th July 2018 discussed the Annual Report, noted the content and approved the report to be taken to the Police and Crime Panel on the 30th July 2018.

The Commissioner presented the Annual Report to the Police and Crime Panel on the                  30th July 2018. The Panel reviewed the Annual Report and the Commissioner responded to the Panel’s questions. The formal report of the meeting can be found at:
