To approve the freehold disposal of Papworth Police Station site
Decision Summary
The Cambridgeshire Police and Crime Commissioner’s Business Coordination Board (BCB) meeting on the 30th September 2015 discussed and agreed the proposal for the freehold disposal of Papworth Police Station site based on the information set out in the BCB paper presented to them, as set out below:
- The building/site is vacant and not been used for a number of years;
- An outline planning application for residential development on the Papworth site is due to be considered at the South Cambridgeshire District Council November 2015 Planning Committee;
- In the event of a successful planning application it will be auctioned in December 2015. If refused an auction listing will be made for 2016 to allow sufficient time for purchaser due-diligence;
- A financial reserve will be placed on the disposal with the reserve value being agreed by the Police and Crime Commissioner’s Director of Estates
