Capital Spend for three camera enforcement vehicles
July 20th, 2015
Decision
To approve Cambridgeshire Police and Crime Commissioner’s capital funding of £82,500 for the purchase of three camera enforcement vehicles for Cameras, Tickets, and Collisions (CTC) for Cambridgeshire Constabulary
Decision Summary
The CTC collaborated unit operates across Bedfordshire Police, Cambridgeshire Constabulary and Hertfordshire Constabulary. The unit has a number of camera enforcement vehicles, which are reaching the end of their useful life and are critical to the continuation of enforcement.
The Head of the Collaborated Department for CTC has requested the purchase of three vehicles for the unit from Cambridgeshire Constabulary. The cost of these vehicles, including the cost of fitting the vehicles out, is £82,500. This will be funded via a revenue contribution to capital from Cambridgeshire’s Casualty Reduction and Support Reserve.
