To sign the award of the 5Force Digital Asset Management System (DAMS) contract.
Decision Summary
The Eastern Region Summit approved an outline business case in July 2020 for the procurement and implementation of a Digital Asset Management System (DAMS) across the five forces of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. The full business case has been approved.
A DAMS will provide an end-to-end solution to effectively deal with the intake, storage, management and sharing of digital evidential assets, including CCTV and Body Worn Video. It will provide a future-proof solution with the ability to more easily receive and manage digital material, and enable the identification and presentation of evidence, whilst improving compliance in respect of data retention legislation. A DAMS will transform our ability to deal with digital material and deliver functionality that will provide the opportunity to deliver significant benefits across all our policing functions.
Recommendation for the Commissioner to sign the award of the 5Force DAMS contract.
