Annual Report 2013-14
October 1st, 2014
Decision
To retrospectively approve the Annual Report for 2013-14.
Decision Summary
Under Section 12 of the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 (“the Act”) each Police and Crime Commissioner (“the Commissioner”) must produce an annual report on the exercise of the organisation’s functions in the financial year and the progress in meeting the police and crime objectives in the Police and Crime Plan.
The Annual Report reflects the Commissioner’s work for the period between the 1st April 2013 and 31st March 2014.
As soon as practicable after producing an annual report, the Commissioner must send the Annual Report to the relevant Police and Crime Panel (“the Panel”). The Commissioner must attend the Panel at a public meeting, present the report to the Panel and answer the Panel’s questions on the report. The Commissioner must give the Panel a response to any report or recommendation on the Annual Report and publish any such response in a manner determined by the Panel.
The Commissioner sent the Annual Report to the Panel and presented it at its meeting on the 19th June 2014. The Panel reviewed the Annual Report and the Commissioner responded to the Panel’s questions. The minutes of the meeting can be found at:
