Decision Summary
Public Sector Audit Appointments (PSAA) are responsible for appointing an external auditor to eligible bodies that have opted into the national auditor appointment arrangements.
PSAA have undertaken a national procurement and have notified us that KPMG have been successful in winning a contract in the procurement and PSAA are proposing appointing them as external auditors for the Police and Crime Commissioner for Cambridgeshire and Cambridgeshire Constabulary. As well as Bedfordshire PCC and Police and Hertfordshire PCC and Constabulary, this is beneficial as we have collaborated services with Beds and Herts.
Recommendation for the Commissioner is to agree to the proposed external auditor appointment of KPMG from 2023/24.
