A warm welcome to my website
Darryl Preston is Police and Crime Commissioner for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough
Thank you to those of you who have taken the time to provide your views in my recent survey concerning a new Police and Crime Plan for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
The survey is now closed.
Once published, the Plan and will set policing and crime priorities for the next 3 years. It will explain how crime will be tackled by the Constabulary and how people affected by issues such as road safety, anti-social behaviour and drug dealing will be supported.
Additionally, the Plan will set out how:
- People get the help they need
- The Chief Constable delivers an effective service
- Money is spent to support projects and services
- Decisions are made in an open and honest way, and everyone’s needs are considered
From early conversations with members of the public and local businesses, there are a number of headline themes already emerging, such as:
- Community Priorities
- Crime Prevention
- Supporting Victims & Witnesses
- Ethical policing
- Robust Enforcement
All comments received are currently being reviewed and will help inform the full Plan and detailed priorities as it is developed.
The Plan will be published in the Autumn.
