Gender pay gap

14 September 18

Gender pay gap report – As at 31 March 2018

The Equality Act 2010 requires organisations employing 250 or more people to carry out Gender Pay Reporting

The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner employees 15 people but in the interest of transparency we have decided to publish our gender pay gap information.

Gender pay reporting is not a review of equal pay for equal work, it instead compares hourly rates of pay and any bonuses staff may receive by gender, seeking to expose any imbalance. We will use report results to assess;

  • levels of gender equality in our workplace
  • balance of male and female employees at different levels
  • and how effectively talent is being maximised and rewarded.

Steps will be taken, where possible, to minimise or readdress any identified inequities going forward.
